Virtual Mobile Infrastructure, or VMI, is a technology that allows organizations to run a mobile app or mobile operating system inside a virtual machine that is hosted on a server in the datacenter or in the cloud. It is like virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), but instead of virtualizing a desktop operating system like Microsoft Windows, VMI virtualizes Android.

VMI enables customers to secure mobile apps and streamline app management while preventing users from downloading sensitive data to their phones or tablets.
